At the Bottom of the Road

A post at last! I've been painting every day except for a great week in Montana,
but the figures I had been working on weren't working out. Montana's views,
big skies and constantly changing weather talked me into shifting to landscapes.

I like this one a lot. You are succeeding in your goal for a more interesting surface texture and your skills as an artist are always evident. lovely!

I want to walk toward that barn, check out the fence configuration on the way, and breathe in the scent of new - or old hay. All I wanted to do was have a cup of coffee before I saw this charming landscape!

Lorraine, you're alive! I certainly missed you and am glad you're posting again. I always learn so much from you as you work out your process. Love this painting and I'm excited to hear about your efforts in this genre. I have the highest admiration for your investigations into the process of painting. Welcome back!

Beautiful, beautiful greens, Lorraine. And I love your lush brushstrokes on the side of the building.

I have been so busy this summer, I am hardly on my computer at all, and not much time to paint, either.
I keep meaning to stop by Hunt gallery to see if any of your work is there.
