Apple Studies

























These were done very quickly. The first (top left) is the free-est. It
appears I got tighter as I went.

Gosh, if only I could be as tight as you! LOL.

My favorite is the third one...I guess third..the bottom left. Really like the light on the apple and the reds in the shadow side. All four are wonderful!

Lorraine, the last one is the best! It is confidently and richly painted with the perfect balance of edges, values and form in space. It's not tight!!!! It has clarity!

Saw your beautiful chisels on Some Texas Artists Like To Paint and came here to see more. Love these apples even more! The bottom two are my favorites because of the bigger areas of value and color contrast. Gorgeous palette here.
