Stunning sunflowers, I love the light on the closer ones versus the dark one behind. Yesterday I was doing some oil painting, which I have absolutely no knowledge about, but it is a world I will try to open up for, probably taking at least one little course just to get the basics right. Wonderful media!
I haven't been here in a while and in short .... WOW! Beautiful work, Lorraine! I wish I could see your paintings in person. Good luck with your show at Hunt Gallery!!
Sunflowers are my favorite!! After reading Virginia's post about your paintings I wish I could see them in person! Congrats on your show, you do such spectacular work!!
Hi Lorraine, I saw your paintings in the your show, on Virgina's blog. Absolutely beautiful! The look so impressive and powerful three in a row. Your painting technique is blowing me away! I long to paint like you. Thanks so much for your kind words on my post. Good luck with the show, I see three red dots in your future.
Lorraine, I would have given anything to have been able to attend your show. Really amazing work. I still aspire to paint more in the style you use. Love your work!!
I have tried several times commenting and it doesn't go through, so hopefully you won't receive this 3x...LOL Just wanted to tell you how much I like these sunflowers, Lorraine! The colors and background is outstanding!!
Thanks so much everybody for your always generous comments! Virginia: I've been framing small stuff, have a new outlet in Denver and getting ready to ship. And, just (maybe) completed a 24 x 24 of a single tree. Have to live with it for awhile to know if it's finished . . . Also working on a 6 x 6 of tomatoes which is giving me great trouble! I guess framing could be construed to mean "resting?" A day and a half to recharge.

Another gorgeous work! Love the way you handled the background. Always an issue for me if I have a lot of it.

Lorraine, are you working on a new painting? Are are you resting up after the effort of getting paintings ready for a show?
Thanks so much everybody for your always generous comments!
