Terms of Endearment 1

First attempt after what feels like a long absence from the studio . . .
My intention was to work differently so I thought I'd try working in
thin washes and let them dry before adding new layers. My hope
was to leave some initial wash areas visible but ended up pretty
much covering the entire surface, anyway. Trying to do things
differently will require more restraint.

This turned out beautifully. Such wonderful color and edges. Love the orange cast in the foreground.
Glad to see you posting again!

Very nice, Lorraine. I love the fact that we never quit learning and trying new approaches to painting.

Gorgeous vibrant colours Lorraine. I love your style, I find it very inspiring. The loose manner and visible brushstrokes are what draw me to your work. Now that lime in your second painting, is absolutely to die for!! I understand your dilemna though. I'm currently going through the same thing. Do I loosen up or tighten up? I'll let you know if I come to decision. :-)
