Salt 'n' Pear

























I wanted to play around with a painting that had more
background than subject matter, just to lay colors next
to each other and see if I could make them resonate.
And, make them work with the subject.

That background has so much depth to it, tell me a bit about painting on Arches paper.I'm curious.

They certainly do resonate beautifully, Lorraine. Love that shock of grey/blue/green to the left of the pear, and I enjoy the amount of space you've given the background.
Love the perspective you've chosen and the marvelous integration of colors throughout.
