It started out so fresh but as I continue to look at it, I see that I was lazy in mixing transitional colors. In an attempt to not blend, I sometimes confuse hard edges with crisp strokes. In the latest version, I think I did a better job with transitional values. In the first post, the pear actually leaned on the pomegranate which was the strong solid fruit. A few days later, they had to lean against each other to stand and the pear took on its share of the balancing act. I was thinking only of color, value and brush work as I painted. I didn't set out to make any social comment but it's in the air here in the US---to me, you can't have society without socialism; I don't mean in a political/ideological sense but in a humanitarian one. If you're not too terribly much younger than I, you know I borrowed the titles from 2 truly great songs. And, it is such a pleasure to have cerulean on my palette again. It's gotten so expensive, it's too bad I can't eat it . . . or feed someone with it . . . :-)Lorraine Shirkushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08289581724600276889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3206997581324657237.post-17803838551269167362010-11-25T12:41:33.860-08:002010-11-25T12:41:33.860-08:00Very nice Lorraine, and with the touch of blue. On sent la rondeur et votre poire semblable à un culbuto flirte parfaitement bien avec votre grenade. Les petites touches de bleu apporte ce raffinement qui est loin de me déplaire...
Beau contraste avec le fond...
Bisous et félicitations.
